Greg Cohoon, The Knitting Daddy

Greg, The Knitting Daddy

Welcome to Knitting Daddy! My name is Greg, and I learned how to knit in June of 2012, a few weeks after my daughter (we’ll call her “Blueberry”) was born. Blueberry was born at 30 weeks, two-and-a-half months early. She was a tiny baby — two-and-a-half pounds — and as a result of her premature birth, she spent five weeks in the NICU before she was able to come home. You can read all about it in the first Knitting Daddy post: My Knitting Origin Story. That’s a great place to begin, and I encourage you to start there to get a little background about where I’m coming from.

I plan to update this blog weekly. I’ll be talking about the knitting-related things I’ve experienced in the last week: podcasts I’ve listened to, discussions and the like on Ravelry in which I’ve been involved, books/patterns that I’ve checked out, and what’s currently on my needles. Additionally, I plan to dive into my project archive and look at some of my projects with a little depth.

I absolutely love making new knitting friends. You can find me on Twitter as @knittingdaddy. On Ravelry, I’m KnittingDaddy and would be happy to connect with you there. Please feel free to send me a message and/or add me as a friend. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on my blog here — leave a comment with feedback, suggestions, questions, or anything you have on your mind.
